I don't know how I came across these guys.

Not really being into this kind of music (I dunno what you call it, punk/hardcore with slower doomy bits that sounds like it was recorded in a shed), but I came across these guys and haven't been able to stop listening to the free EPs you can get from their Bandcamp site.

They're like a cross between Uncle Acid and Weekend Nachos (two bands who've recently reignited my passion for hard-rockin). They have a habit of hustling me into thinking they're completely incompetent one moment, and then blowing me away with a surprisingly proficient bit of musicianship the next. Also the singer sounds like he's just been woken up from a particularly terrifying bad dream.

Favourite track is School Fire Pictures off the Animal Pleasures EP.

The description of the music sounds great, but these guys deserve some sort of award for managing to come up with the worst band name ever.

Emil.y in the Outloud.FM made the obvious Simpsons joke: "Ah, I can tell you've played Knifey Spoony before!"

I admit, the name makes me want to listen to them. Then again, I can't think of a single Simpsons-reference band that doesn't suck (Fall Out Boy, Montgomery Burns -- the latter, surprisingly bland teenage hardcore).

Radioactive Man has had his moments

neither of those are bands admittedly

Is there a band called Floor Pie? If not, there should be.
