Why is such an awful album title (but great movie title, so Meyer get's a pass) being regurgitated so often? Are these artists completely unaware of these other albums? (Not hard to believe) Will Shania's be the best of the bunch? (Not hard to believe)

Taking sides: Jesus Lizard's Down vs. Stone Temple Pilots' Down vs. Rockpile's Down Down Down vs. that song that goes "down doobie doo down down" (yeah breaking up is hard to do).

And what style does AMG contend is "Canada"?
If there was a band I won't as "Canada" style it wouldn't be them.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Wednesday, 18 September 2002 14:39 (twenty-three years ago)

"Canada" is the anti-style.

More Down syndrome (sorry): The Young Lords, Erosion, Sentenced, Aaron Carl, Templeton Peck. Not forgetting "Down Down" by the mighty Quo!

Not forgetting "Down Down" by the mighty Quo!

I saw an old copy of the NME from the 1970's where they printed the lyrics to "Down Down". It was just the word "Down" printed about 100 times, though at the end they added "across across across" to take the piss.

Maybe the artists are playing trick association games because they know the albums are substandard.

six years pass...

The R.E.M. one I kinda like, but this is Peter Gabriel. His "Up" album was excellent and terribly underrated.

does this Up title mostly indicate wishful thinking/self-deception amongst artists re: the direction of their careers?..."things are going great, and getting better! I just got an offer to star in the Surreal Life!"

hey man dont look at me i dont vote (Drugs A. Money), Monday, 19 January 2009 18:47 (seventeen years ago)
