The thread where you pick your 5 favorite covers of a specific artist. Limiting it to 5 to keep a quality control and so lesser known / newer acts can get in too.

In case I'm not being very clear see my next post for an example.

PO5: Kraftwerk covers

Señor Coconut - Showroom Dummies
Kat Onoma - Radioactivity
Gary Lucas - Autobahn
Glass Candy - Computer Love
Trio Fratres - Das Model

Still the best Señor Coconut song, showroom dummies fits the mambo novelty perfectly. Kat Onoma and Gary Lucas are new-agey approaches to the songs. Glass Candy is pretty faithful but somehow manages to sound both older and newer than the original.
Picking this particular Model cover from the hundreds there are, because of this video. Song is pretty awesome too:

SUICIDE

The Gories - "Ghost Rider"
Spacemen 3 - "Che"
Bruce Springsteen - "Dream Baby Dream"
Thin White Rope - "Rocket USA"
MIA - "Born Free"

Might as well do this one without overthinking it:

The Beatles

Caetano Veloso - Lady Madonna
Charlotte Dada - Don't Let Me Down
The Five Stairsteps - Dear Prudence
Stevie Wonder - We Can Work It Out
The Supremes - Come Together

And yet there are also the Eddie Hazel, 801 and Cristina covers that I think I like better than the originals.
