ok, I got the video (42mb), and I got the mp3 (4.75mb). I bought the video here in Nepal, and converted the video to mp3. You could, of course, download the song from anywhere if you have a P2P software. If there's a way to upload the video somewhere, I would gladly do it for you. But I need a server with FTP access - I got a dial-up here (28.8 kbps - that's Nepal for you). I would love to share it with everyone - I just love the song, AND the video. By the way can anyone tell me the name of chick in the video? She's *hubba, hubba*. Searched everywhere - couldn't find her. :(

our requirements are same. m too hunting for the same video. but the only place where i cud find it was KAZAALITe (www.kazaalite.com).

one our group member at ilxor will share his video mom-sat 9-4pm. u try downloading using this software.

its easy.

u can find this video in a VCD called "CHANNEL V hits"
try if u can get this VCD.

I have SHARED the video. I checked it from another computer, and the weird thing is, sometimes it shows up, sometimes it doesn't. Funny! Keep searching on Kazaalite. It is bound to show up. I was having some connection problems yesterday....maybe that's why?

i recall, u said, u had a .dat version of it too. can u share that too ? incase if .avi is not downloadable then we can try our luck on .dat :)

Hi Digen,

I have shared the .dat file too, but it doesn't show up on Kazaalite when I search for "Kaliyon ka chaman". My original file was a .dat file but i later "renamed" (not converted) to .avi. Maybe that's why you're getting that message. I'm at the moment searching for a software which converts .dat files to .avi files. Will let you know when I've succeeded.

i finally found the video file on kazaa. thanks again.

let the file be in .dat format as u know converting it in .avi will reduce its quality. please dont convert it. we will rename it to .dat after downloading.

the file currently on kazaa is not downloadable as it says that ur pc is down :( and so more resources are required. but i m confident that daily we will get to download some part of it and will get the full version soon.

well the aim is same to get that video. Hey sameer, you can download Windows media encoding utility. Using that you can convert the video into MPEG-4 or MPEG3 if you want. It gives a huge reduction(upto 4 times from MPEG to MPEG4 if cleverly used) and quality is hardly affected. URL is

BTW, i study in a college and there i cannot even use Kaaza or morphieus or IRC Networks. If i will get caught they will **** me.

Can you arrange that ftp for me? As I said, I've got a very slow connection and maybe that's why no one's been able to download the video. Let's give the ftp a shot, and see how it goes. FYI, I leave my Kazaalite on the whole time. I'll also try the Windows media encoding utility, and see how it goes. Will let you know soon.

hey look i have a very good solution. Use Windows utility compress it.
Then make a geocities group which is free as you know. You get a space of around 30mb. Now use any utility like winrar or winace which breaks the file into pieces of size which you can specify. this has to be done because geocities do not allow storing files above a particular size. (extremely easy i do it quite often) Then you can upload that files on yahoo group.

One of my friend send me some precious videos in this manner and i myself has done this for him.

Allow people to join that group (as you will be the administrator) also we can share a lot more like this if you want. After joining the group anyone can download the file.

please please this is an easy solution i guess because finding an FTP then uploading will take a hell lot of time. If you can get one then no problem if not then start trying this funda.

and you are the only ray of hope. if you want then i can personally make the geocities group and do all the required settings for it and will let you know the administrator password .... so that your load is readuced a little bit.

Thanks for that. I was able to login to the ftp without any problem. But because of my connection, it's gonna take me 4 hours !! I have decided to cut them up in Winrar, and upload them piece by piece. Is that ok with everyone? And thanks to Madhur, I have set up a Yahoo group where I have uploaded a couple of files for testing (I have cut the video up in 42 pieces!) Could someone please download these two files and see if they work? If it works, I shall upload them all AND upload them to the FTP as well.

I am sorry, i forgot to tell that if one wants to extract and see the file in the rar archives he/she needs all the files in which you have broken your original file. Its impossible to see the individual files.

So we will be needing all the files (..42 !! :(..). Well i guess you haveto compress it there is no other way it will take a hell of your time to load all the files.
Also you might have to create another account for more space. So, i guess no option compressing is good enough. Well BTW, did you try that windows media encoding utility. Are you facing problems with it ?

I guess your actual MPEG file is around 35 - 40 MB. One can easily compress it to 10MB without any major loss of quality.

Stupid me - didn't know that. Anyways, I have decided to upload them to the ftp server. I have cut them to 5 parts - 10mb each, the last one being less than 1 mb. Just finished uploading part 1 (took me approx. 1 hour!). Part 2 almost done. 3 more to go. My man Abdul, please do the needful so everyone can start downloading.

well a good news... i asked the guy who owned tht ftp and he said that u can download with the upload account also so all u have to do is get an ftp client (FlashFXP or somethin search on downloads.com)
feed in the info that i have give about eg ... ip, port, user, pass and downlaod the files.
i have already started downloadin the files at 6ks ... finished 2 parts and 3rd parts on 23% right now.

Smita, the video I bought is a pirated one. I doubt if you'll find it. It's copied/recorded directly from the TV - good quality though. It even says it has 5.1 surround. Dolby Digital, DTS, my ass. But the sound quality is good enough. Much much better than the mp3 I'd downloaded. I extracted and converted the audio from the vcd to mp3.
