I'm not an expert on Aretha's big sister, and obviously she wasn't the greatest talent in the family (besides Aretha, have you heard their dad, the Reverend C.L. Franklin, preach? Wow!), but anyone who made a record as fantastically great as Piece Of My Heart deserves to have their passing marked and mourned. I just dug that tune out to play it again, and it stands as one of the great soul records.
