never mind Jack n Julian....i'd love to see Mike Skinner and Roots Manuva hooking up for an 'its a london ting' special...how about you?

I'd love a Lucinda Williams/Bob Dylan duets album (a la In Spite of Ourselves), which would win every critics' poll in existence and would still be ignored by ILM.

B:Rad (Brad), Tuesday, 24 September 2002 12:09 (twenty-two years ago) link

Why would you like it to be ignored by ILM?

Ronan (Ronan), Tuesday, 24 September 2002 12:10 (twenty-two years ago) link

Now that Dennis Wilson's dead and buried, I'd love it if the Beach Boys would let bygones be bygones and record with Charles Manson.

Pitman vs the mike (frank) skinner - not a collaboration, but a battle. pitman would whip his brummie ass in a heartbeat. well, perhaps a slightly slow, hindered by grease and bitter heartbeat.

q-teez, Tuesday, 24 September 2002 13:33 (twenty-two years ago) link

we've discussed Pitman vs Streets before...just because Pitman takes the piss out of Skinner on his pisstake track doesnt mean they should be compared/contrasted...i find both very funny but The Streets so far has proved he has a broader repertoire, and Pitman's currently the epitomy of one trick pony albeit a bloody funny one

blueski, Tuesday, 24 September 2002 16:25 (twenty-two years ago) link

i'd love to see what Pitman actually looks like now

Ever since someone told me my band sounded like "Return to Forever jamming with Kool Keith" after one of our shows, I've wanted to hear that actual combination happen.

I'd also like to hear the songs Kool Keith & Beck recorded together. It already happened; just release it DOODZ!

Oh..."plausible"...missed that.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Tuesday, 4 March 2003 21:21 (twenty-one years ago) link

It's probably not that plausible, but hearing "Like A Stone" reaffirmed that I SO want those RATM musicians to replace Chris Cornell with Rod Stewart. They could name it Rod Against The Machine! Yow!

I did a Rage-Against-the-Machine cover band show on Halloween a couple years back dressed as a wizard and with the bassist, guitarist, and drummer dressed as terrorists (this was pre-9.11 when that shit was kosher) and we billed ourselves as Mage Against the Regime.
