I called around for Interpol tickets but it's sold out.

I was reluctant to see them because the lyrics are not very nietzschean but the music is cool so I made up my mind to go, called a friend etc.

I shouldn't shut myself to the rest of the festival but right now I'm uninspired. Who would you like to hear live? pop montreal

Friday
Barfly : Black Eyes, Shut-in, Creeping Nobodies, Deep Dark United
Should be a killer lineup. Least make it to DDU anbd Creeping Nobodies who start the show and then you can wonder over to Cabaret for Neko Case and back at 12:30 for Black Eyes.
Lion D'Or has Moneen, Frenetics who can easily hold their own.
Saturday
Club Soda: Blonde Redhead, The Constantines are great if your into that type of music. The Mean Red Spiders are at Barfly, Royal City is at the Casa Del [GYBE] Popolo.

Barfly : Black Eyes, Shut-in, Creeping Nobodies, Deep Dark United
2nd best fall cover band of all time
Sat: Jim Gutherie at Casa and hanging with Kiss me deadly at i forget.
sun: heckling hot hot heat with such heckles as "play some songs by your other band...hot hot heat" and "i love matt marnik"

actually on sat there is another Creeping Nobodies show in Delta Ontario in a barn. It's a camping trip show which is gonna be so sick.

Id rather go to Halifax Pop Explosion. But thats partly because I LOVE visiting Halifax. Lineup isn't bad either with Holding Pattern, Cat Power, Neuseiland, Picastro, North of America, Peter Parkers, The Constatines, The Dean Malenkos [best cover art ever from a punk band] and just for Sean... Blurtonia.

If I had money I would defently do Montreal, Halifax, stop off at my university for Homecoming (one of those weekends) then trip over to Boston but there is this place called work that wouldn't appriciate me taking 3 weeks or so off.

2nd BEST!??!

Cool, if Blurtonia is playing just for me, I should probably get some tix. I've been meaning to visit the coast for quite some time now.

What is the other band in Hot Hot Heat?

And who shall feel my wrath for naming "Canada" a music style yet again? Its a friggen country not a musical style.

I love the Dears, obviously, and they are worth seeing. Unrelated, but the Chameleons will play at Club Soda on October 8. My good friends Bordello (www.bordello.ca) are opening and they are great. Montrealers should check it out...

Hot hot heat's other band is hot hot heat circa the ache records years when they were a sweet le shok type band.
Then the kicked their singer out of the band put on too much fasion, added a guitar and brought in u2 and XTC influences.

They should've changed their name or something

1st best fall cover band: pavement
