i was reaaaally into "the mother we share", but every single following that has really bored me. overrated group at the moment, i'm willing to change my mind though if they hit on something as massive as that first tune

monotony, Friday, 31 May 2013 12:54 (four years ago) Permalink

Yeah I feel the same. But I almost went to go see them just because "The Mother We Share" is so goddamn good. I thought maybe live they could bring that energy to their other songs.

Vinnie, Friday, 31 May 2013 12:59 (four years ago) Permalink

Have been addicted to The Mother We Share for months. I like the other songs too but this one's perfect.

Very good MSMR remix too:

I like "The Mother We Share", but it was "Lies" that really grabbed me initially. I wouldn't claim that every song on the album is of equal intensity or immediacy, but I think it's a great debut by a really promising band. Frightened Rabbits + Robyn, or a post-indie version of Berlin, or something. The hype, such as it is, is absolutely fine with me.
