As far as I can search, there's no thread for Double, the weird, jazzy, new wavey Swiss guys with impeccable production values.
I'm a big fan of at least most of the two proper albums, Blue and Dou3le. "Captain of her Heart" tugged at me hard when it was a one hit wonder. Took me years to even flip the 45 over to find out how incredible "Woman of the World" was and remains. Those two are definitely all time. And the records have some other nice tunes. Some wacky shit too. Leery of something Kurt Maloo, the totally recognizable voice of the band, did in 2006 under the name Kurt Maloo vs. Double, but who knows.
In current news, Kurt is the vocalist on a new Rune Lindbaek tune it seems. Keen to check that out. And Kurt keeps up a Soundcloud and has shared an early recording of his that's interesting. You can check it here: https://soundcloud.com/cafeswizz. Here's the description:
"From the 1980 hybrid 12" maxi Luna, Luna + 7 Notorious Maloo Homeworks. It was recorded on a 2-track Revox B 77 tape recorder, using ping pong technique to add more instruments. The free download is available for 10 days."
Didn't know til just now that Felix Haug, the other half of Double, died in 2004.

i don't know, surely they've been mentioned on the balearic thread?
that album, "blue" i think, is ok, but captain of her heart and woman of the world are miles better than anything else on it.
