Is there any ILM love for Caitlin Rose?

This is very belated given the album came out in February but it's by stealth become one of my most played records of the year, and I'm pleasantly surprised to see it popping up on end-of-year lists. Plus 'Only A Clown' is one of my favourite songs of the year.

Anyway, talk about Caitlin Rose here.

She is great live as well, totally charming and strikes up a rapport with the audience almost immediately. She is tiny though.

The thing I like about the record is how instantly familiar a lot of it is but it always sticks *just* the right side of comfort-blanket music and she's got a pop sensibility that really shines through. It's only maybe the final track that slips over that line.

(This thread is totally a barely-veiled attempt to get the album into the ILM end-of-year list).

i like that record a lot. feel like she'll probably just get better, too.

eight years pass...

I like the new album but it feels like it should've been even better. A couple songs should take off but don't. The vocals and arrangements are bit too same-y. And a lot of William Tyler's work is kinda buried. But...even with all that, I still really like it, esp side one.
