For the record Season of Changes and Landmarks are my solid gold BBF albums, although the first two are still amazing.
I finally got to see them earlier this summer, and it was just as locked in and magical as ever. One of those bands that is really their own world when they get together. I got chills when the front line sax players would play those lines, especially when one of them (I always get Myron and Melvin mixed up, sorry) would switch to bass clarinet. Jon Cowherd is the heart of the band, and of course Blade is a genius. He can be the quietest and most sensitive drummer, and then pick these moments to drop the biggest bombs that only he would pick.
They played some new material that they said they would record...someday.
