You can borrow my favorite album, but you can keep it if you love it

Ever let a friend borrow your favorite album (or one of your favorites) with the intention of letting them keep it if they liked it enough? You'd gladly buy another copy just to support the band.

This past Thursday I let a female co-worker borrow Loveless. She's never heard of the band and I won't know how she feels about it until Monday. She's a huge fan of Third Eye Blind, and I've seen her wearing shirts promoting Nine Inch Nails and A Perfect Circle. Should be interesting. She's one of the prettiest girls I've ever seen.

Have any of you ever bothered to explain to friends the irony of the name of Kevin Shield's band and the title of the album? Or do you just let them discover it on their own?

This has happened to me. Katie, I guess you must have really liked Hellbilly Deluxe? Please email or call if you're reading this. Thanks
