Aka the best french house album in the world............ever

I found nothing in HMV so I walked into the other crappy record shop, where you'd be lucky to find anything which wasn't in the charts. And then I saw this CD cover with the logos of pretty much every commercial french house artist ever on it. And then I looked at the back and saw it had the DJ Falcon remix of La Mouche on it, and Phoenix-If I Ever Feel Better, and Daft Punk, and Stardust, and Alex Gopher. So many more too. This CD was 15 euros and has made my day, anyone else got it?

That's not too much of a stretch.Top track listing, including that Phoenix remix that you were talking about a while back.Never fails to satisfy, and brings a smile to my face every time I listen to it.

Yeah the tracks I don't know are pretty special too, a significant part of the enjoyment is just finding this thing out of the blue.

I've got it too! Received a free review copy before it came out, and was amazed never to see it on sale in a record shop. Did it actually get a proper release?

When I (finally) went to Paris in July, I walked around Montmartre for hours trying to hear some Daft Punk playing from someone's window.

Enjoyed Marcello's write up of this on the C of M, that Little Star Cosmo Vitelli remix is absolutely amazing, hadn't picked up on it until now.

I have it! I found a used copy in Recd and Tape Exchanges Dance shop. Not fully absorbed yet, but the Phoenix and Cassius remixes are belters.

It came out in Belgium in the summer. All the reviews here were sniffy - "mon dieu, not these tracks encore une fois" etc. People are funny, aren't they? ;)

Amazing tracklist, the only thing missing is Grand Popo Football Club Men Are Not Nice Guys and maybe Galleon, but otherwise it's the ultimate french house hits comp. Of course, if you've been hearing these records twice a day on the radio for the last five years, it might indeed seem a bit redundant, but it sure beats hunting down all the singles.

Cosmo Vitelli is great, the remix of Cassius The Sound Of Violence is also ace, and the video of the (excellent!) new Party Day tune is currently doing the rounds on local MTV here.

Dr C. that Cassius remix is one of favourite tunes ever, I think I've been rambling about it for about 8 months now since Darren Emerson kept mixing it back in over and over at various points in the night back in February. It's so mesmeric, the same riff just over and over and over and over and that gigantic clicking drum in the background, repetition at its very best.
