It might be another Radiohead vote for me, but so many good songs here -- Headache, Here & Now, Hey Man Nice Shot, Summertime.

LimbsKing, Friday, 16 May 2014 13:44 (twelve years ago)

I thought this was Filter in a landslide and then I saw The Cure and Radiohead and I can't decide

Headache is an alltime jam for me, esp in the shower for some reason

sonic thedgehod (albvivertine), Friday, 16 May 2014 13:49 (twelve years ago)

Probably Frank Black, but probably actually Letters to Cleo.

Diddley Hollyberry (Phil D.), Friday, 16 May 2014 13:54 (twelve years ago)

bawitdaba
don't look back in anger
just a girl

le goon (J0rdan S.), Friday, 16 May 2014 13:55 (twelve years ago)

"Stutter" no question. Is it the shortest song to chart in the Modern Rock top ten?

guess that bundt gettin eaten (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Friday, 16 May 2014 14:03 (twelve years ago)

song I like a ton that I probably shouldn't given how my tastes normally run: "Stupify"

Love Spit Love – Sweet Lover Hangover (4/13/96)

my god Richard Butler still scoring top tens this late?

guess that bundt gettin eaten (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Friday, 16 May 2014 14:19 (twelve years ago)

Surprised that Hey Man Nice Shot only got up to #10. Feel like that song was way more popular than that.

intheblanks, Friday, 16 May 2014 14:26 (twelve years ago)

Ahhhh -- spreadsheet error on my part. That should be Love & Rockets, not Love Spit Love. My bad.

LimbsKing, Friday, 16 May 2014 14:32 (twelve years ago)

I was gonna say that looked wrong

chillin' on an "awesome pretzel" hoagie (DJP), Friday, 16 May 2014 14:33 (twelve years ago)

the only ones I can remember out of these are Kid Rock, Sheryl Crow, and Nine Days. I'm not fond of any of them. I'm sure I must have heard people playing that No Doubt song in high school but I can't remember how it goes.

Although Love Spit Love did have that cover of "How Soon Is Now" in 1996 (Craft soundtrack/Charmed theme)

LimbsKing, Friday, 16 May 2014 14:37 (twelve years ago)

Any reason why "Cut Your Hair" isn't here? #10 in May '94 according to Billboard.

From the list, voting for either Oasis or Filter.

with the Cure and Radiohead right behind that one.

Bee OK, Friday, 16 May 2014 15:31 (twelve years ago)

Just started with Headache and went for 25 songs from there.

LimbsKing, Friday, 16 May 2014 17:06 (twelve years ago)

Surprised at the "Stutter" love. Big fan of "Carsong" myself.

LimbsKing, Friday, 16 May 2014 17:06 (twelve years ago)

Here & Now
Stutter
Optimistic
Stupify
Nothing as it Seems

I also have a soft spot for Stupify. Although it sounds just like very other single of theirs that followed.

2:21 isn't that short.

For me it's either "Stutter" or "Optimistic."

I tend to come across quite a few ppl who seem to jump at every chance to blast Disturbed albums over and over, and I'm always amazed at my inability to get sick of Stupify (notably unlike any of their other songs) xxp

"Head" by Tin Star (???) is the only song here I'd never heard before.

I bet Blur's "Song 2" was the shortest top 10 hit on the chart in recent years. #6 hit

LimbsKing, Friday, 23 May 2014 12:16 (twelve years ago)

The Offspring's "All I Want" was even shorter, but only peaked at #13
