as a barndominium expert, having watched too many of these videos, they all seem to be built with super mega insulation and use splits to air condition portions separately but it's still like air conditioning a mall and your heat would just go all to the ceiling. the one i was watching yesterday was explaining that because the bathroom is so far away from the hot water heater there is a motion sensor that turns on a motor when you enter the bathroom so that it moves hot water to the bathroom in anticipation of you turning on the sink or shower. lol. it's all just the most american thing.

Pole buildings and barns use a post-frame construction where laminated wood posts make up the bulk of the framing. The roof utilizes trusses connected by purlins. The exterior consists of steel panel claddings that “hold” the structure together. Contrary to popular belief, the construction does not include poles, or interior columns.

That seems clear enough (ddg's "purlins"), sure, got it.

By contrast, a stick-frame building contains a basement or crawlspace over which builders construct the building. The frame also requires a concrete foundation for support. Due to the construction of the foundation, building costs are far higher.

I don't get the sides of the barndominium with metal signs advertising Shell, Texaco, Mobile, Exxon, Sinclair, Phillips 66... There was never a wall that had all that crap in one place before, why now?
