I never liked them and they were never underground and hip! They are poseurs they are redundant why not just listen to the bands who did all the the ideas and sounds they do like twenty or thorty years earlier (I can't remember what decade it is, oh yeah, I just remembered but I can't work out the times ps Donna I are 27)

'Cause the MC5 or KISS or the Stooges or the Kinks or the Buzzcocks don't tend to play crap Hamilton pubs. Also it is possible to strike cliched poses and actually 'dig that shit' - i know cause i've done it. I still can't see anything inherently wrong in liking dumb rock.

They're a superb rock/pop band, much as I occasionally wish my tastes were more "now" or "hip" that's about my favourite music, they're a great proponent, I like them. A lot. As I just said. the datsuns are just like devo, except (sadly) not as nerdy. though they do sing about an effect pedal in harmonic generator (on the album).
