I can't get over how fucking ugly the thing is. I mean, MySpace is a big franchise, people. Surely they could hire someone with a modicum of web-design standards?

I can deal with not complying to web standards, but for fuck's sake it's the worst user interface on the planet. Friendster just eats it for lunch in that department... I finally got on MySpace recently, and I could barely get a modicum of information up there before I just wanted to beat the designer with a tire iron.

I spent a couple years as a die-hard Friendster partisan, but over the last year or so Friendster has aggressively fucked up their own design while MySpace has retained its original level of cluttered ugliness. So now they're both hideous. Myspace takes less time to load, but Friendster understands the hy-tech concept of "alphabetization" so it's kind of a draw except nobody hangs out on Friendster anymore and Myspace lets you do the music thing, so....
