This is probably gonna be a very lonely thread, but does anyone here have some knwoledge of this guy's work? I see a lot of intriguing docs on DVD but it seems a bit overwhelming.

I have seen Route One USA and Milestones, both of which are documentaries in the loosest sense and both of which are incredible. Have his films been reissued?

Amazon France has loads of twofers - picked up the "Milestones/Ice" package in the end. Need to set some time aside for these.

two weeks pass...

i was skimming through a copy of route one, for some reason, the photography looks so beautiful, all these perfect egglestonian frames & people. i'm pretty bad at getting down to really long films but i might try it sometime in the next month while i'm doing other things.
