Yeah I never got the complaint. Wallace is pretty awesome, but he's a weak defense 3B or a 1B. Weeks has the potential to be an all star 2B. You draft for that potential.

haha yeah all these guys are talking about Pujols being intentionally walked 35 times this year, as if things are somehow going to be different with Holliday (y'know, because nobody would dream of IBB'ing Pujols to pitch to Holliday instead).

there's a weird implication in that theory that "yeah now albert will finally be able to start doing some damage!" imo protection only works if it's the reverse, the great hitter placed behind the much lesser one, but even then idk how much it comes into play.

they're never gonna trade him if they're demanding packages like this

to be fair ricardi has acknowledged this and because of it has basically said that he doesn't expect halladay will be traded

personally i think they should unload him - at this point i'm sure most of the fanbase has made peace with it and they really should get something for him because they likely aren't going to make the playoffs and then he's gone
