yeah--i can kind of appreciate it cause it's an aggressive, proactive move, but i would not be psyched about my team picking up this particular guy.

They look okay (3/4 starter material.) I'm not sure you want to bet $20M he's going to be doing that next year or the year after if you are the Rays though.

i guess they didn't spend much of anything to get him (justin fuller, a 26 year old infielder in high-a) but thome is quite a luxury, and a roster versatility-destroying one at that.
