I saw a presntation on this system at SABR con a couple years ago -- at that time the Mets were the leaders for it.
The Rays will be the first team to install Kinatrax, a markerless motion-capture system, in their stadium, sources told Yahoo Sports. An announcement touting the move is expected Monday.
Kinatrax uses ultra-high-speed cameras and aims to capture the sort of biomechanical data that previously necessitated the placement of reflective markers on different body parts. Should Kinatrax do what it purports to, it would revolutionize baseball by offering looks at pitchers’ in-game biomechanics instead of those revealed in laboratory settings.
By installing Kinatrax at Tropicana Field, not only do the Rays get to analyze their own pitchers, they can track opponents’ biomechanics....

Kiermaier hits 100 on the radar gun ... on a throw home from CF:

His dWAR for the season ... 4.9 (!!)
― NoTimeBeforeTime, Saturday, 3 October 2015 11:55 (eight years ago) link
That 4.9 does strike me as a little...suspect? Stipulating that I have no idea how dWAR is derived, Mays, Clemente, Paul Blair, Dwight Evans, and Jim Edmonds never had a season over 3.0 between them; Griffey hit 3.4 once. Is it just that the farther you go back, the harder it is to get an accurate measure? Or is Kiermaier actually two games better than the best season from that first group? Pillar is at 2.7 right now, so even he ranks with the best season from the first group.

It would be among the very best seasonal dWARs ever. I agree that it looks suspect ... but he's been among the leaders in bWAR all season.

another 2-inning save for colome, i smell some sabry weirdness from the rays! are there any articles out there about long saves i should be reading, or

guy used to start right? i remember Rivera used to do the occasional two-inning save and i've long wondered why we didn't see it more often. you're not going to see anyone twice and if you've started before, you're no stranger to sitting between innings and throwing more than 20 pitches. if the guy is your best pitcher in the bullpen, seems like a no-brainer to me to use him for more than an inning if you need to.
