So Much Older Then, Younger Than That Now

Good parlor game:

Hey Bill: Jose Rijo was the first player younger than me to play in the majors, and Jamie Moyer was the last older than me. Do you know who your two were?

Oscar Gamble and Charlie Hough, I believe.

I needed help from Baseball Reference to identify mine (estimated, then scanned the yearly lists of rookies and retirements).

First player younger than me: Storm Davis, who debuted April 29, 1982. He's a couple of months younger than I am.

Last player older than me: Julio Franco, who played his last game on Sept. 17, 2007. He's three years and a couple of months older than I am. Unless he's even older.

Many of you will have to wait a few years on this.

Still a few dozen older than me. First younger: Adrian Beltre.

Youngest- I figured it was Junior Griffey but he is actually a month older than me. Looking at Baseball-Reference, it looks to be Wilson Alvarez by three months.

Oldest- Mariano Rivera by a month. That's a good one to have.
