Roster Moves: Earlier today, the Yankees voided the minor league option of RHP Ben Heller and placed him on the 10-day D.L. (retro. to 3/27) with a right elbow bone spur. Additionally, LHP Oliver Pérez was signed to a minor league contract on Friday, 3/30.— Yankees PR Dept. (@YankeesPR) April 2, 2018

To me, Sanchez looks kinda uncomfortable behind the plate and not all that mobile. I might be seeing him play on a pitcher/catcher off night, but he seems to often be on another page where he sets up and where the pitch comes in. I've seen him give up a couple of wild ones by seeming to try to glove stuff instead of moving his body. Sanchez's dWAR numbers on baseball reference seem to say he is pretty average with the glove.

damning the Yankees and America
And certainly none of us wants to be anything like Yankees *fans* — especially after seeing them at close quarters. Certainly, I have witnessed them often enough in Baltimore during weekend series against my beloved Orioles to know the horror in full.
Not that the horror is easy to recall clearly. The trauma is too violent. Memory cringes, whines, tries to slink away. One recollects only a kaleidoscopic flux of gruesomely fragmentary impressions, too outlandish to be perfectly accurate, too vivid to be entirely false: nightmarish revenants from the dim haunts of the collective unconscious … monstrous, abortive shapes emerging from the abysmal murk of evolutionary history … things pre-hominid, even pre-mammalian …

Yankees general manager Brian Cashman said Wednesday that the three-week time frame the team had originally outlined for Aaron Judge's return from a wrist injury was overly optimistic.
"We thought maybe three weeks would cover it, but it's going to be longer than that," Cashman told WFAN 101.9 FM's Mike Francesa in a live radio interview. "So, we missed on the time frame."
As of now, there is no updated timetable.
