granted, most everyone has had the o's number for the last few years, the rays always seem to be particularly troublesome. the o's were mashing abott's stuff, but it just wasn't falling.

am i officially rationalizing now?

hey maura dot com - do the mlb tv people realize how great it is when they stay with the broadcast feed when the announcers are "off the air"? Today I was treated to Bob Carpenter singing along to "Secret Agent Man" between ininngs.

I can't find a Rays thread, but did anyone see Rob Bell's 'performance' last night? If you have mlbtv, it's worth checking out - fucking hilarious.

Rob Bell, who warmed up three times before coming into the game to replace Hendrickson to open the seventh, lasted only five pitches. Bell's first offering to Paul Konerko flew over the head of catcher Hall and umpire Mike Reilly and hit the backstop on the fly. The second pitch was a called strike. Then, Bell threw two pitches in the dirt and one that nearly hit Konerko before summonsing Tampa Bay manager....
