Barry Bonds laughed when a Chicago reporter asked if he had spoken to Baker's 6-year-old son, Darren. Taped to Bonds' locker in San Francisco is a handwritten note from little Darren that reads, "Barry Bonds/Congratulations/660 is awesome/Darren Baker/I will hit 800 home runs."
Bonds laughed as he told reporters about the note.
"I hope I'm alive when Darren hits 800 home runs," Bonds said. "I think he wanted to put 1,000, but his mom said that wasn't cool."
