Joe Morgan was a cokehead? That explains so much!

The Tyson/Gooden/Strawberry picture might be the greatest thing ever. I want a wall-sized poster of that.

You do not have to be on anything at all to find Julia Louis Dreyfus attractive.

three years pass...

FRANKLIN LAKES, N.J. (AP)—Former Major League Baseball star Dwight Gooden has been charged in New Jersey with driving under the influence of drugs and leaving the scene of an accident.

Franklin Lakes police Capt. Joseph Seltenrich says the 45-year-old former pitcher for the New York Mets and Yankees had a child in his vehicle at the time of the two-vehicle crash around 9 a.m. Tuesday. It wasn’t clear whose child it was.

Police say he was also charged with child endangerment and several motor vehicle violations. They didn’t say what drugs they believe Gooden was on.

Gooden was released on his own recognizance until a municipal court hearing. It wasn’t clear whether he had an attorney.

He has waged a well-publicized battle with alcohol and drugs, including cocaine.

How did this thread get this far without a mention of Steve Howe?

That dude got banned like nine times, yet no matter, he got another shot as someone always needs a lefty reliever.

earlnash, Thursday, 25 March 2010 01:06 (sixteen years ago)

harshbuzz to my chilt-on (zvookster), Thursday, 25 March 2010 01:09 (sixteen years ago)

Also, Tim Raines admitted using coke during games in 82. "To avoid leaving the drug in his locker, Raines carried it in his hip pocket, and slid headfirst when running the bases." ~ from wikipedia.
