They haven't been that bad (or significantly worse than expected) -- honest! May was the Tigers' only sub-.500 month. Their 2011/2012 DIFFs thus far are almost identical. They've lost a lot more one-run games.

Debating with fellow Tiger fans the past couple weeks has been a very strange thing. I don't know if they're the worst but they definitely are getting worse -- the natural development for any now-expected-to-win team's followers. Didn't take long to go from "They better contend" to "God what a stale taste from watching this team stumble into winning a division."
