The Weekend

So REB have you come down yet? Good game from your boys on the weekend. You should continue to tip against them - it seems to work.

As for my Lions, exciting game to watch, a three point loss is better than a ten goal loss, and if we have to lose (and I know we do) I'd rather lose to West Coast and The Dockers. The injuries to Leppitsch, Bradshaw and Caracella definitely worry, chance for Leppa and Braddie to be OK in a week or two but Caracella's 'friendly fire injury' could be much longer.

Go the Lions and look out Hawthorn (sorry Hawka)

Sorry Luce, but I backed the Cats so your theory is on the nose. Go the Lions and....watch out for the other Lions LOL.

regards,

REB

ps - every time I say 'egirls gone' they come up with a win so you owe me a beer Westy!

I'll buy you one REB, as long as it's not that dishwater they call beer in Crowland.

Just keep saying it!!

Your beer is shite also Westy. Emu?? Urrrrrkk!! I prefer Vic beer, especially Carlton and Melbourne...good beer, shite footy teams but.

REB

REB, I erally enjoyed Sat Night. I tipped the Cats so I could legitimately barracxk against my Tigers mate with something at stake. He was an absolutely, totally shattered man by 1/2 time...

It might be rough being a teams supporter (unless its the Lions), but you know that there are always Richmond supporters having a much, much worse time of it all...

I don't think it would be much fun being a Carlton fan at the moment though, even though they have improved this season. Carlton fans have been used to success and what Elliot has left them with is an absolute rabble.

However, having said that, Carlton have defeated Ricmond once in a mickey mouse game this year and also beat Richmond for their last win of 2003 so you might have something there.

I was at a Cricket do and the Cat game was on the tele in the bar but it got canned when the Cows came on DOH. That's democracy for you!

regards,

REB

ps - as soon as I watch we bloody lose anyway :)

"It might be rough being a teams supporter (unless its the Lions), but you know that there are always Richmond supporters having a much, much worse time of it all..."

Aye. Which makes an even bigger joke than usual of those 'two types of people: Richmond supporters and those who wish they were' bumper stickers that turned up a couple of years back. No club treats its own supporters with more condescension and contempt than Richmond. And Benno, your club and mine have both hit rock bottom in the last few years, but nobody from either Carlton or Collingwood tried to blame us, the fans, for the team's predicament, like Casey did last year.

No wonder Richmond fans are 'fickle', if indeed the figures do back that up. Following that mob would take more patience than I can put my name on.

Did anyone see Richmond Football Director, Greg Miller on Talking Footy last night? He was askede if he thought Frawley was a good coach and he would only say that the players loved him. Did anyone else see this or am I reading too much into it?

chrisso (chrisso), Wednesday, 21 April 2004 03:23 (twenty-two years ago)

Greg is a classical example of the sherriff who rides into town to clean up the crap and winds up arse-deep in it. At North he wouldn't have had to think about the smoke-and-mirrors spin doctoring bullshit routine he plays at Richmond in his worst nightmares.

I saw that interview. On the basis of it Danny is gone. Probably the week before Richmond play the bottom team, or the next from bottom after themselves, at home. That's how those moves normally get timed.

On the basis of it Danny is gone

That was my feeling as well.

chrisso (chrisso), Wednesday, 21 April 2004 03:36 (twenty-two years ago)

Chrisso, it wasn't on in Brisvegas until 12.45 - AM. So have recorded and hope to get to watch it tonight. Quite enjoy most of the program wish it was on at a better hour. Would much prefer to watch this for footy news then that crap Mr Ed puts out later in the week.

I reckon if the crows flog them this week, which i think will happen, he'll resign monday morning.

jsa, Wednesday, 21 April 2004 04:33 (twenty-two years ago)

As Spud is on a "no win, no pay" contract, he wouldn't be costing the short on cash Tigers a great sum for his services. Can they afford to replace him? Wayne Brittain anyone???
