With no ruckmen left, who will play this week. Maybe Leigh will give Laaanne Spaaaaannndermann a go!

I got see the boy play on the week-end Lucy. North Coast Lions v Labrador at Caloundra on Sunday.

Five Lions reserve grade players and 17 Sunshine Coast under 18's took on and beat Labrador by 3 goals in one of the most uninspiring games of footy you would ever see. Laaane was not a stand out and was a tad lazy in his positional play and the need to run to get there, contested about 25 marks for about 1 grab. Not great form to take into a your first game, especially against Jeff White et al.

If he is picked I think it would be the first sign of deparation in the camp. The kids not 19 yet and will still need the work to come up to his potential.

Not a good sign BB, maybe we should do a Malcolm Blight and go with Brad Scott then!

What about No. 33 - hark back to his days at Carrara!

I think we'll need more than one BB. Also is DJ a certainty for this weekend? I hope so.

No.

Surprised to see Pike was dropped. What's going on up there?

I hadn't heard he was dropped chrisso, I know he hasn't been his wonderful best just recently. But been flat out moving so haven't had a chance to check the teams yet. I thought he was still listed and that they hadn't picked the final 22 yet!

Just checked the AFL site, Lucy, and he is listed as one of about seven interchange players, so you would expect him to play. Sports Tonight had him as an 'out'. Idiots.

Sports Tonight. Brought to you by the same Chunnel that brings you Big Broohar. Sums it up really. Sports Tonight think 'Australian Rules' is test match cricket...

I know, I know, but when you live in Sydney you take what you can get.

Adapted slightly from the Blackadder ep where Baldrick is running for Parliament:

SCENE: Some time round 1992. Launch of Channel 10's 'innovative new' sports nightly new service and its 'bright young expert' presenter, Tim Webster.

Channel 10 exec: "We will not be relying on personalities to win this ratings war with 7 and 9."

Ross Warneke/Garry Mansfield/Debbie Enker/(newspaper TV critic of your choice): "Why not?"

10 exec: "Because Webster hasn't got one."
