Well done, Catters.

Too good last night and I thought the scoreboard more than flattered us in the end. Hopefully they can go on and give the Lions a shake next week, but I think the Lions will be too much for them this year. Can't see it being anything other than a Port v Lion Grannie.

Well done catters, but really was there any doubt against a team of overrated hacks, fair weather footballers at best. Once hird retires thats the end of the bombers.

Fair weather? You are one to talk. Suddenly he appears after Port win a final, you are as fair weather as the Gold Coast in December.

change of jobs chrisso, prolly hard for you to understand

plus we know where we stand in finals we dont pretend or blow our own bags like bomber supporters, face it at best your the 4th best side in victoria and that makes you the 8 th best in the comp with a bullet heading downwards

Quite true. I've never been sacked.

bullet heading downwards

Port have finished first for the third year in a row and still no flag. There will be no flag this year either. It must be painful. Probably your last chance this year. Don't choke.

It looks like Port and Brisbane for mine. Brisbane are in slightly more danger this week, but assuming they do overcome Geelong they are still the most likely premiers.

And to whoever loses the GF: forget the 'lose one to win one' scenario. Only once since 1995 has the premier been a recent Grand Final loser (North in 99 having been the runner-up the year before) and as more than half their team had been around in 96 they scarcely needed the experience.

In fact, Collingwood in 2002-3 are the only other beaten grand finalist since Geelong 1994-5 to have played in another GF since.

You need to work to be sacked chrisso.

you may be right about port chrisso, but one things for sure we can still win it unlike the bombers.

jsa, Monday, 13 September 2004 03:32 (twenty-one years ago)

What do you know about me? My log-in name is chrisso and I barrack for Essendon, that's it and that's all you'll ever know. Don't make assumptions as it only makes you look stupid. Not that you need any help doing that.

Swings and roundabouts. Port are having their period in the sun and it will soon be over. Will you have a flag to show for it? It's looking very, very doubtful. We have a flag to show for our recent period in the sun. Port are yet to win a flag, jase. Nothing in the cupboard. Nothing. Echo......echo.

Nicely done boys, nicely done! Great stuff Catters especially Kingy and Benny G. They were shite against the Poower and needed to respond and they did it in style.

Kudos also Darren Milburn, Gary Ablett and Matty Scarlett once again doing the job on Lloyd. We looked a bit shaky at the end but if we kicked straighter we would of moidered em. Also that James Hird can play a bit too. Fair old snag in the last quarter.

Chrisso ya mongrel you had me stressin after your 'straight sets' prediction. It would have been a travesty to lose that one after winning the first three quarters.

I don't think we can beat the Lions but at least we've finally managed to win a final WHO HOO.

regards,

REB

Well REB don't be too quick to discount your boys. It aint going to be an easy win for either of our sides this weekend. Just hope that all of a sudden Melbourne experiences a heat wave and the humidity rises by about 150%.

Still should be a good game and for mine - I hope I get to follow it up with a trip to Melbourne to see the GF and not shopping!

It would have been a travesty to lose that one after winning the first three quarters.

If I were a Cats fan I would have been worried too, but as an Essendon fan I knew the reality. We were never going to win that one, I knew half-way through the first quarter.

Will be cheering for the Cats on Saturday and hoping for a deluge from mother nature.

chrisso (chrisso), Monday, 13 September 2004 04:09 (twenty-one years ago)

Thanks Chrisso, knew we could count on you! :)

Lucy Lion (Lucy Lion), Monday, 13 September 2004 04:19 (twenty-one years ago)

You've won 3 in a row!! Don't be greedy.:-)

chrisso (chrisso), Monday, 13 September 2004 04:30 (twenty-one years ago)

Have you seen the long term (i.e. bull5hit) forecast? Rain followed by more rain with some showers afterwards LOL.

16 in a row in Victoria do dah do dah...

Quite true. I've never been sacked.

Ummm that seems to be your assumption chrisso, seems my comment about not working has really upset you, and theres nothing worse then someone making assumptions, then when they are returned sooking off!! you truly are an essendon supporter, such a fair weathered club, full of fair weathered supporters!!

Chrisso your a complete goose

jsa, Monday, 13 September 2004 21:50 (twenty-one years ago)

No worries, QLD.Lol.

Upset? You couldn't upset me if you tried. Your rantings about Essendon are amusing, keep 'em up!

Echo...........echo.......echo.
