Lucy Lion (Lucy Lion), Thursday, 12 May 2005 05:42 (twenty-one years ago)

Cats - by a street. May qualify for the Champers
Dees - Dawks to give them a shake.
Weagles - Saints lose cool and sin.
Bullies - Roos burnt me.
Cows - too many youngsters.
PAP - will smear Swans.
Tiges - Pies to be competetive - until the first bounce.
Dockers - game keenly followed by jase - 2 of his favourite teams

Westener (Westener), Thursday, 12 May 2005 11:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Cats by 33: Big Fev's back but so is Scarlo.
Melbourne by 8: Melbourne soft as but Hawthorn won't beat too many kicking it around in circles.
West Coast by 41: Too many out for the Saints.
Bulldogs by 20: Darcy is out but Petrie out for the Roos tends to even that up a bit.
Adelaide by 5: Not much in this and probably another ugly game so this will suit the Cows.
Sydney by 11: Wet weather, a small ground and too many talls equals trouble for the Power.
Richmond by 57: Pies gone.
Fremantle by 34: Essendon by a point at lemon time.

regards,

REB

Tips are in lads, so good luck.

chrisso (chrisso), Thursday, 12 May 2005 22:39 (twenty-one years ago)

Geelong BMW - 29 points, their started and running well
Melbourne Redlegs - is this game still the battle of the old school tie boys?
West Coast Juggernaughts - can they be stopped
Western Bullfrogs - its good to be able to croak about the old 'Scraggers
Adelaide Allsorts - home ground and maybe a more consistant on-ball brigade
Sydney Fugglies - Andrew D. was right
Richmond Fairweathers - all those old Tiger bandwagon jumpers are on the march again, where have they been hiding?
Fremantle Centurians - enough said

Enjoy your week-end everybody

Vale Edward John - my wonderful Dad

Big Bird (Big Bird), Thursday, 12 May 2005 23:01 (twenty-one years ago)

GEEL (21) - but Carlton have to improve. The man with the appropriate initials, Brendan Fevola, is back and next time he goes he won't be

MELB - Hawthorn will again fall just short

WESTIES (1) - too settled and too even but due to 'come down' soon

WESTIES (2) - this fixture burnt me badly twice last year

SYDNEY - the Cleti swear (how else have they ever communicated?!) they're back, but so did Brissy last week

RICHMOND - for the first time this year

CROWS - I think for the first time this season also. The Addledville crowd are in better touch for the moment but I suspect they too are tailing off

FREO - Chris may be trying to show Kev he can play the media 'rent-a-mouth' game too but much more importantly he has too many footballers for Sheedy in game 500 (congrats Sheeds)

Fred Nerk (Fred Nerk), Friday, 13 May 2005 00:09 (twenty-one years ago)

Sorry to hear about your Dad, BB. Hope you and your family are coping OK.

The greatest compiment any man can receive is to be called a wonderful Dad.

chrisso (chrisso), Saturday, 14 May 2005 02:06 (twenty-one years ago)

Sorry I missed that news last time BB. Best wishes to you and your family.

(Chrisso: Just done some maths. Sheeds would have knocked game 500 over about three years ago, so exactly what ARE we celebrating viz-a-viz the Sheedmeister this week?)

Fred Nerk (Fred Nerk), Sunday, 15 May 2005 02:22 (twenty-one years ago)

25 years, Fred.

In that time all the other clubs have gone through 106 coaches combined. Amazing man, that Sheeds.

chrisso (chrisso), Sunday, 15 May 2005 07:06 (twenty-one years ago)

Thank you gentlemen, much appreciated. A life worth the living.

I didn't see the game chrisso but did the Bombers pull one out for the coach? Or just play for four quarters. Is there anything more frustrating in life than supporting the Dockers, 100+ point winners to four goal losers!!!

Big Bird (Big Bird), Monday, 16 May 2005 01:23 (twenty-one years ago)

I didn't see the game chrisso but did the Bombers pull one out for the coach?

WQe were level with them going into the last 1/4 and absolutely smashed them, so you would have to say they did do it for him, but there was a point to prove regarding our fade outs this year. I was supremely confident going into the last 1/4, you could just tell that they were going to win.

Freo are spineless when the going gets tough.

chrisso (chrisso), Monday, 16 May 2005 01:28 (twenty-one years ago)

Westy? Westy? WESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTYYYYYYYYYY!!

No friggin chance ha ha.

regards,

REB

Rik E Boy (Rik E Boy), Monday, 16 May 2005 01:37 (twenty-one years ago)

Isn't Westy lucky to have two teams! I guess when one of them is as gutless, spineless and as pitiful as the WAanchors you would need an extra team.

chrisso (chrisso), Monday, 16 May 2005 03:27 (twenty-one years ago)

Why this week though Chrisso? The 25th anniversary of his first match isn't until R1 next year, and even if you take the 'Oakley' Centenary definition his 25th season started seven weeks ago.

Fred Nerk (Fred Nerk), Monday, 16 May 2005 03:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Westy is still here. Only able to get onto the net after dark, which is a couple of hours after you guys.

Watched the game and am very disappointed with the Dockers effort.

What can they do to turn it around? They have the players and the talent but seem to be intimidated by the occasion. Must be as frustrating as all hell to be their coach.

Now, having said that, if I was an Essendon supporter, I would be doing too much crowing.

It's not as if it was a season turning moment. Their win was one of several upsets this weekend.

Westener (Westener), Monday, 16 May 2005 11:00 (twenty-one years ago)

Now, having said that, if I was an Essendon supporter, I would be doing too much crowing.

That's the spirit! Pretty soon you'll be doing the Sheedy! Wave that jacket.

Why this week though Chrisso?

No idea.

chrisso (chrisso), Tuesday, 17 May 2005 10:13 (twenty-one years ago)

That's the spirit! Pretty soon you'll be doing the Sheedy! Wave that jacket.

That's an Eagle/Bomber tradition.

Isn't Bomber/Dockers tradition something about too hot in the kitchen?

Mind you, anything that lasts longer than two weeks, these days is regarded as a tradition. Hence, Jonathon Brown's suspensions. Just a tradition.
