At this point in time these are Lucy's tips.

St Kilda v Adelaide - St Kilda
Carlton v Melbourne - Carlton
Collingwood v West Coast - torn on this but think West Coast willwin
Brisbane v Richmond - Brisbane
Port Adelaide v Essendon - Port but only because it's at Aami - would prefer Essendon to win
Bulldogs v Sydney - Sydney (home ground even if it is an away game)
Geelong v Kangaroos - Geelong
Fremantle v Hawthorn - Freo

I'm telling you know these tips are subject to change!

Lucy Lion (Lucy Lion), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 08:14 (twenty-one years ago)

St Kilda v Adelaide - St Kilda
Carlton v Melbourne - Melbourne to flog the blues.
Collingwood v West Coast - Collingwood are still pretenders ... West Coast by a country mile
Brisbane v Richmond - Richmond players rate themselves ... but they have no chance - Brisbane by a couple (of country miles)
Port Adelaide v Essendon - Port ... can't see Essendon doing anything remarkable.
Bulldogs v Sydney - Western Bulldogs will get over the line just.
Geelong v Kangaroos - Geelong. Kangas are crap at the moment (why weren't they this crap when we played them).
Fremantle v Hawthorn - Hawkas by 60+

Hawka (hawka), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 12:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Tips will be posted 3 minutes prior to start of Fri Nite game in a last ditch effort to second guess ond outwit LL.

Computer guru mate is currently working on a programme that will recognise all her winners at 10pm on a Sunday night and change them to losers.

Also sending undercover agent(wife) to Qld(Cairns) next week to help ferret out an answer to her success.

SHE'S DOOMED!!!

Westener (Westener), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 13:01 (twenty-one years ago)

Any computer geek who spends time working out footy results instead of ways to scam lotto is a loser. Stay away Westy LOL.

I reckon...

St Kilda: Adelaide carp
Carlton: Melbourne missing a few
Wet Toast: Another easy game in a dream draw
Brisbaneofourexistence: Richmond's first interstate trip
Port: Still going OK at Girlee
Bulldogs: Home ground advantage LOL
Cats: An unbiased selection
F*ckedmantle: Hawthorn win two in a row? As Jase would say BWAHAHAHAHA or whatever it is.

Get on the Crows for the upset you punters because whenever I tip against them they bloody win!

regards,

REB

Tips will be posted 3 minutes prior to start of Fri Nite game in a last ditch effort to second guess ond outwit LL. Better than you have tried and failed! :)

Also sending undercover agent(wife) to Qld(Cairns) next week to help ferret out an answer to her success. That's like saying I'm sending someone to Spain to check out what's happening in London!

SHE'S DOOMED!!! So tell me something I don't know.

Good luck Westy - you'll need it:)

Lucy Lion (Lucy Lion), Thursday, 19 May 2005 05:50 (twenty-one years ago)

ST KILDA (35) - lose this one and it's all over
CARLTON - Melb missing too many
EAGLES - yet to lose in Melb this year
BRISBANE - force of habit in Rich-Bris games
PORT - in the Battle of the Hacks they have VERY slightly more to recommend them than Essendon. Again the Adelaide Amphitheatre of Massed Idiocy crowd will be screaming 'we're back! after winning one in a row
SYDNEY - though it'll be interesting seeing Eade try to beat the flood
GEELONG - Roos now in real trouble
FREO - back home should win, their shockers are mostly away and more than a week apart

Fred Nerk (Fred Nerk), Friday, 20 May 2005 00:28 (twenty-one years ago)

St Kilda Hospitals (31) - sick (sic) of hearing about how they have 318 injured players, The Crows were shit in the first half last week
Melbourne Fushicas - in keeping with the historic tones of the game
West Coast Murderers - this will not be pretty, Pies for priority picks
Brisbane Scrubbers - nothing nice about last week except the result, still a ways to go for the boys
Port Adelaide Rebounders - will enjoy having twice as much room compared to the vaccant lot known as the SCG, tip: kick it to Warren boys!
Western Attack Dogs - I think they have the game to bugger up Swans game plan, they will win big
Geelong Imported Italian Sports Cars - Valiants no-more
Fremantle Bipolars - I know I'm going to regret this, as I do the name, apologies to any sufferers out there

Big Bird (Big Bird), Friday, 20 May 2005 00:40 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah Bird THAT WASN'T FARGEN FUNNY but I suppose I can see the lighter side ha ha.

Like the St Kilda hospitals bit. You should go to Saintsational...they'd be unbeaten if it weren't for injuries LOL.

I liked that 'unbeaten' in Melbourne line as well Fred LMAO. They'll probably get lost on the way...

regards,

REB

Rik E Boy (Rik E Boy), Friday, 20 May 2005 01:02 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm just letting you know I may have changed my tips - then again I may not have! :)

Lucy Lion (Lucy Lion), Friday, 20 May 2005 07:14 (twenty-one years ago)

Sneaking in late!!!

Saints - they have watched their last game 8 times - can now identify a good team - 8 goals
Eagers - Eddies done
Dees - Blues gone
Lions - Tiges finished
PAP - last chance - let me down last week although not unexpected
Cats - Roos gone
Freo - Dorks can't travel

Westener (Westener), Friday, 20 May 2005 11:00 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't know about you lot but I trying for a 'double misere' this week.

By the way I hate Richmond.!;(

Lucy Lion (Lucy Lion), Sunday, 22 May 2005 02:15 (twenty-one years ago)

Great handball from Vossy.

chrisso (chrisso), Monday, 23 May 2005 00:46 (twenty-one years ago)

Great couple of dives from lloydy

jsa, Monday, 23 May 2005 02:22 (twenty-one years ago)

jase, you're like one of those performing monkeys in the circus - 3 or 4 routines, and as boring as hell.

chrisso (chrisso), Monday, 23 May 2005 02:58 (twenty-one years ago)

I think the win/loss record is still very much in favour of Voss.

Best thing to come out of that game was the improvement in clearances and stoppages. And Sherman's kick to the hot spot rather than goal.

Ohh, and 'Red' Merrett's roving skills.

Big Bird (Big Bird), Monday, 23 May 2005 03:16 (twenty-one years ago)

Signs weren't good for Brisbane on Saturday. I thought Richmond were patchy at best and wasteful in front of goal, but still managed to scrape through in the end.

Bradshaw continues to disappoint as a key forward (spilled several gettable marks in the last quarter).

chrisso (chrisso), Monday, 23 May 2005 03:27 (twenty-one years ago)

Chrisso, seems your good at having a crack at a few players but dont seem to want to comment on your own, havent ya got enough courage to pass comment on the great essendon, or sheedy or lloyd.

jsa, Monday, 23 May 2005 03:34 (twenty-one years ago)

Bradshaw is much better as a leading forward rather than as a prop-and-cop version. I also think he's a better backman then forward.

Big Bird (Big Bird), Monday, 23 May 2005 04:00 (twenty-one years ago)

Bradshaw might not be fully fit and he certainly is not a fully fit Alistair Lynch. Geelong took ten years to recover from the failures of the Blight era, maybe Brisbane will take that long to recover from the successes of the Matthews era.

regards,

REB

Rik E Boy (Rik E Boy), Monday, 23 May 2005 05:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Bradshaw is not match fit. We lost Chris Scott in the final quarter and Mal Michael. The feed into the Forward line was not good, Brown was held well and then couldn't catch - not sure if this was exacerbated by his shoulder soreness.

Ash McGrath was really good, Daniel Merrett, Josh Drummond, Justin Sherman all played really well I think Merrett will improve with each game, his football nouce is improving.

Apart from that errant hand ball from Vossy he was great, best I've seen him play all year.

...recover from the failures of the Blight era, maybe Brisbane will take that long to recover from the successes of the Matthews era.
REB the club made a conscious decision to go for early success to build the game up here and it has done that successfully. There is no way we would have got radio or TV coverage like we have now if not for the 3 Premierships and 4 GF appearances. In fact Triple M have only come onboard this year with any real commitment.

Lucy Lion (Lucy Lion), Monday, 23 May 2005 07:04 (twenty-one years ago)

Chrisso, seems your good at having a crack at a few players but dont seem to want to comment on your own, havent ya got enough courage to pass comment on the great essendon, or sheedy or lloyd.

Fair enough jase, from now on I will be as critical of Essendon as Westy is of Freo, and Lucy and Big Bird are of Brissie.

chrisso (chrisso), Monday, 23 May 2005 23:08 (twenty-one years ago)

No arguments there Chimp Chick. I'm just happy I stumbled upon the National Indigenous Radio Service to tune in to the Roo culling at Cat Park on Sunday.

regards,

REB

Rik E Boy (Rik E Boy), Tuesday, 24 May 2005 01:04 (twenty-one years ago)

Glad you found NIRS REB, just a shame 4AAA here is Brisbane have cut back there coverage. No Saturday night game now unless it's Brisbane.
