Do you people realise what I'm going to have to go through this week.

My secretary is a Pies fanatic - calendars on the wall, team photos from the last 28 years, eddie can do no wrong - the shame is palpable.

I'M DOOMED!!!!!

Sorry with a title like this thread i felt sure it was aimed at Essendon.

Well done bitch boys, and well done lloyd, you were a champion but in recent years you have become a joke, not only are you a thickhead, and a diver but also soft.

How could lloyd be captain in front of the johnson boys?? has sheedy got any idea??

Essendon and Port have one thing in common this year, both won't be playing in the finals.

chrisso (chrisso), Monday, 23 May 2005 00:25 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

Not sure how you draw that conclusion about port

jsa, Monday, 23 May 2005 00:26 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

Its a great week this week. After copping all shades of $hit off my colleagues the last couple of weeks, the Pies have the upset of the year, and the colleagues teams of Wet Toast, Bummers, Carlsum and the Aints all go down.

It might only be for one week, but there is a smile back in this cubicle at work!

Bennö (Bennö), Monday, 23 May 2005 00:26 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

That conclusion was drawn about Port because the Power have been shite away from home this year and still have to play at Catland, The Gabba, Putrico, St Kilda in tassie. After losing a couple at home earlier in the year the heat is well and truly on The Power.

Luckily there are such coaching legends as Peter Rhode, Mark Mickan and Tony McGuiness in the Port coaching box bwahahahahahahaha.

REB

Rik E Boy (Rik E Boy), Monday, 23 May 2005 01:16 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

Suddenly im finding myself feeling ill. Its not a great coaching staff, chocko must have stood outside with a $5 note looking for assistants.

We've got 6 or 7 home games, that will give us 10 1/2 wins so only need to jag 2 wins, we are a rough chance in perth, and a good chance at hobart, some chance at the gabba and depending on what handbags are on show at geelong we might win that as well.

jsa, Monday, 23 May 2005 01:38 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

Maybe the Gabba and the Tassie game but you'll have to play slightly better than you did against those powerhouses Sydney Swans on your roadtrips to make the eight.

REB

Good luck to ya Benno, must admit I was starting to feel sorry for the Collingwood Players - Not Malthouse or Mr Ed!

Glad you've had a win - but sorry hope you don't get too many more!

Lucy Lion (Lucy Lion), Monday, 23 May 2005 06:48 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

Nah Lucy, we don't want your sympathy!
Anyway, more than 5 wins is a wasted dud of a season. Bring on 4 wins, a priority pick plus the number 2 or 3 or so pick, the father son (now who's a talented kiddie of a former Pies hack) and the rebuilding will be complete, all in one season :)

Kots Kaal Pato (English: Strangle the Duck) is a controversial event practiced among some Mayan youth in the village of Citilcum within the Mexican state of Yucatán. In the event, ducks, bound to high wooden crossbeams by their feet, are mutilated in a ceremony-like atmosphere. It has attracted condemnation from animal rights activists in the region, with several Mexican environmental authorities filing an animal cruelty complaint on the matter.[1]

At La Tour d'Argent today, carcasses of freshly strangled ducks are pressed to extract the blood which is mixed with cognac and port to make a rich, sizzling sauce.

"If for the chef each dish is a work of art, for me, it's a story unfolding, a face drawing itself, the return of a happy moment," said Claude Terrail, a debonair 85-year-old who inherited La Tour d'Argent from his father in 1947 and will pass it on to his 22-year-old son Andre on Tuesday.

"There is nothing more serious than pleasure," he adds.

FYI - there is a very large dead racoon on the sidewalk in front of our office building. I've called and submitted requests to the city all week to have it removed. I first noticed it on Tuesday. It is starting to get bigger and I'm concerned it will start to smell this weekend with warmer temperatures.

Hi neighbors,
If you are parked on Van Buren Ave just east of Perkins and one of these two cars looks like yours, you will want to know that a large tree just fell on it. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Also, everyone please use caution driving because the tree is covering half the street.

Juan Carlos Chavez, 40, is wanted on suspicion of an attempted carjacking and for stealing a puppy at gunpoint in San Jose in 2013, according to police.

The victims of the robbery put an ad on eBay advertising a 9-week old Pomeranian. Chavez allegedly arranged to meet them the night of Oct. 8, but when they handed over the pup Chavez pulled out a gun and demanded their car.

Fearing for their lives, the victims quickly fled and Chavez and the dog have been missing since, police said.
