Westener (Westener), Wednesday, 25 May 2005 11:05 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah, Lucy's tips really suck...which is why she's kicking our ass.

REB

Rik E Boy (Rik E Boy), Wednesday, 25 May 2005 20:59 (twenty-one years ago)

Melbourne in psooibly the first decent friday night match
Geelong to flog softmantle
Hawthorn in a close one
Bris Lions surely must win last chance for them
St Kilda in a close one, with hopefully with a couple of major injuries
Adelaide by plenty carlton are rubbish
Bullies to win easily
Power to smash the pretenders

jsa, Wednesday, 25 May 2005 22:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Cats v Port. That was a pretty good Friday night match you one-eyed git :)

regards,

REB

Rik E Boy (Rik E Boy), Thursday, 26 May 2005 01:20 (twenty-one years ago)

Reb,

it was played on a saturday afternoon and you lost be 60 points, oops sorry that was last years final.

jsa, Thursday, 26 May 2005 03:17 (twenty-one years ago)

'Adelaide v Carlton Carlton'

Lucy, are you NUTS????!!!!

Quite possibly! I just think it's time for Carlton to make a stand. I'm more worried about tipping Melbouren over Richmond!

And who ever thought Collingwood would beat West Coast, what's that saying...
Stranger things have happened in Football!

Lucy Lion (Lucy Lion), Thursday, 26 May 2005 05:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Lucy ... Hawthorn v Collingwood Collingwood .. I hope you don't put the 'micky' on us.

Dees by 29pts. Richmond can't keep playing above themselves.
The Cats by a long way
Hawks to make 3 on the trot and enter the top 8
Lions at home - surely they can't lose five in row at home
Sydney to cause a bit of an upset over the Saints
The Crows at home
Essendon to beat the Doggies
West Coast should beat Port very comfortably

Hawka (hawka), Thursday, 26 May 2005 09:37 (twenty-one years ago)

Richmond - too fast
Dawks - too impressive
Geelong - too good
Lions - too strong
Swans - too tenacious
Crows - too keen
Bullies - too young
Eagers - too everything.

Westener (Westener), Thursday, 26 May 2005 11:18 (twenty-one years ago)

Richmond by 18pts - Neiter in doubt
Hawthorn - A more even combination
Geelong - Freo clueless at the Cattery
Brisbane - Despite the home ground disadvantage
St Kilda - Don't ask me why just do it (OK, I tossed a coin)
Adelaide - Carlton really struggling
Essendon - Good record against the pups
West Coast - Will be spitting chips and Port nowhere near it

regards,

REB

Rik E Boy (Rik E Boy), Thursday, 26 May 2005 21:04 (twenty-one years ago)

MELBOURNE (11) - though they'll have to play four quarters this time

GEELONG - 10 minutes will do

HAWTHORN - the extra day break, the 'back-from-Perth' syndrome, the fact that Collingwood found a bit of form and method last week all increase the degree of difficulty, which (form suggests) actually increases Hawthorn's chances

BRISBANE - the AFL is running out of teams to throw at Brisbane to run them back into form. Scottt v Simmo: Headed for the Guinness Book Of Records "Smallest Teacup To Have A Storm In It" entry? Not that motivation's a problem up Brisbane way, of course....

ESSENDON - OK just force of habit. Also Hird's back, Lloyd's due (and Rocket's worried, hence is spray at 'Rolf' Harris) and the Dons may have too many smarts

ST KILDA - more than a few Saints are on their last chance

ADELAIDE - Carlton are back where they were in 2003 and last week was their 'fired-up' form

WEST COAST - not often these days Port can stay out of their own way. Judd's back and they'll be furious after lasat week's effort

Fred Nerk (Fred Nerk), Friday, 27 May 2005 00:15 (twenty-one years ago)

Sorry Hawka certain don't intend to put the mokkers (?) on Hawthorn but think the Pies have got the momentum this week and Hawthorn have been to Perth and back.

Still I'd be happy to miss out on this one and see the Hawks flogg the Pies, one way of ensuring we don't end up at the bottom of the ladder! :)

JSA don't read this next para it's about who's not playing for the Lions this weekend.....(I know you hate it when I do this - like I care)
The bad news for the Lions - more bad news that is - Lappin has been ruled out of Saturday night's game - damn.

Lucy Lion (Lucy Lion), Friday, 27 May 2005 06:26 (twenty-one years ago)

I can't see the Lions getting the spoon. I think the Maggies have it in the bag.
I still think the Lions will make the eight ... but they have to turn it around.
I'm tipping Richmond, Kangas, Fremantle and possibly Sydney will not make the finals ... to be replaced by the Saints, Brisbane, Doggies or Port, with an outside chance of the Hawks. ;)

Hawka (hawka), Friday, 27 May 2005 23:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Westener, you are 0 from 5
REB, 1 from 5
Fred, 2 from 5.

We laughed at Lucy - she's 3 from 5

(I'm on 2 as well, tipped the f**king Dorks)

Richmonds season snapped at the same moment Nathan G Browns leg did... That was nasty, nasty stuff

Bennö (Bennö), Saturday, 28 May 2005 11:34 (twenty-one years ago)

I would be happy to be just 1 from 8 at the moment:[

Lucy Lion (Lucy Lion), Saturday, 28 May 2005 23:58 (twenty-one years ago)

Learned People

I did the "too" post with regard to this weeks tipping, and that's what I got - TWO.

Some expert me!!!

The high point is that one of my mates at work is a Port Supporter and has been rubbing my nose in it for a while.

Oh the revenge - emails will come his way every few minutes for the next few days.

GLORY, GLORY, HALELLULAH.

Westener (Westener), Sunday, 29 May 2005 09:59 (twenty-one years ago)

...he who laughs last Mr West :)

REB

Rik E Boy (Rik E Boy), Sunday, 29 May 2005 20:50 (twenty-one years ago)

I would be happy to be just 1 from 8 at the moment:[

And we will all be a lot happier when you stop speaking out of your arse.

chrisso (chrisso), Monday, 30 May 2005 02:04 (twenty-one years ago)

And we will all be a lot happier when you stop speaking out of your arse.

Given these results...

chrisso 48 (271)
REB 45 (335)
Fred N 44 (297)
Westy 44 (348)
Benno 43 (262)
jsa 42 (353)
Hawka 38 (340)

Lucy Lion (Lucy Lion), Tuesday, 31 May 2005 06:30 (twenty-one years ago)

Bennö's Round 11 Tips

Collingwood vs Geelong - Geelong to bounce back, Scarlett and Harley to stop Trav Cloke (gun) and Tarrant
Richmond vs West Coast - West Coast, Tigers were beaten before Browns season snapped. Judd to find form again...
Carlton vs Swans - Scrappy is the only guarentee. Carlton by a fat Lance goal.
Freo vs Bris-vegas - Brisbane. Freo harder to pick than a broken nose
Adelaide vs Bombers - Sadelaide in a match as scrappy as the Blues/Swans debacle earlier. How are Adelaide in the 8???
Saints vs Port - Port are 1 hit wonders, Saints be enough
Roos vs D's - despite 9000 free tickets, the Roos might get a full house but the D's will smash them on a sunny winters day
Bulldogs vs Hawks - The Darcy disaster is starting to bite, Hawks by not many points but 100 possessions more
