I haven't seen a worse injury than that, absolutely horiffic. Hope he isn't out of the game for too long.

As bad as Vossies double break of 7 years ago, Henrik Larson (the Celtic strikers) double break, and the unfortunately named Busst from some long relegated team in the EPL...

You wish that upon nobody

I almost threw up. Devastating for the poor young man. He has been playing so well. Hopefully he will be as dedicated and focussed as Vossy and be able to come back from such a tragic injury.

Listened to the game on ABC Radio as I drove to Perth on Friday night and Tim Lane's description was sickening hearing it.

I gathered that a lot of interest in the game was lost by the players and the commentators referred to the fact that they seemed to be going through the motions without enthusiasm.

Saw it later on delayed telecast and agree it was sickening.

Hope he has a complete recovery and continues to show all his undoubted skill.

The worst injury I've seen on a footy field since Richard Osbourne's bendy leg and that time he got knocked out and was shaking all over and the ambulance had to come on the SCG to cart him away.

All the best to Nathan Brown. No true football fan can take joy from that but apparently some on bigfooty have.

That was horrific to watch, i was amazed at how calm he was on the stretcher.

Good luck to him hope he recovers but it may take a couple of years

All the noises at the moment seem to be that his is (a particularly severe version of) a fairly standard injury and that he should be back early in 2006, barring complications such as occurred to poor sods like Jason Snell and Jamie Lawson (Syd early 90s).

Voss made it back, after falling on top of his own already broken leg. And sports medicine is advancing in leaps and bounds. Best of luck to him.

Voss made it back,...

His was also a compound break which from my friends in the medical profession tell me is worse - risk of infection etc.

JSA I was stunned at how calm and focussed he was.

Us men can handle that sort of stuff, Lucy.

I prick my finger regularly for diabetes tests without as much as a grimace.

It's a blokey thing. You probably wouldn't understand.
