There was a list in today's Age of all the tests that young draftees go through at the draft camp, and who has pulled the best numbers over the years.
There were a few among them who turned out to be handy players, and a couple more who still might, but there's no Luke Ball or Dan Wells or Nick Riewoldt, much less James Hird or Michael Voss. Adam Ramanauskas, the best of them, got his gong for 'vertical jump' - which I don't remember him using much over his career, he hasn't played in the ruck much, if at all, and hasn't taken too many screamers. (Chrisso, if that's crap by all means put it straight.)
Most of the draft camp champs went in the first ten minutes on draft day, but none are in the elite today. Makes you wonder why they go through all this garbage, no?
