I know you lot aren't interested, but I am. Lions are back training at this stage Brad Scott is still training with them but have not heard if he is staying or going - I for one hope he stays. I believe he's shown his loyalty to the club over the years and deserves one more season.

PS. Richard Hadley is looking fine.

You're right, LL. We're not really interested as most of us are still on holidays, having just finished the finals and all. We'll get interested when our teams commence training, which should be about 4-5 weeks after Brissie.

Westener (Westener), Tuesday, 25 October 2005 07:55 (twenty years ago)

I'll start getting interested about 9 days before round 1.

BTW how absolutely brilliant is K Sheedy. Could the AFL have gotten anyone better as an Aussie coach?

No. Go the nutter!! No wonder the entire nation is in love with him.

chrisso (chrisso), Tuesday, 25 October 2005 10:52 (twenty years ago)

Yeah the entire nation is in love with him LMAO, and I thought Chimp Chick was bad for having pictures of Eddie on the ceiling.

regards,

REB

Chrisso, Sheedy did a great job, just hope they can pull off another great win on Friday night. Go the Aussies.

REB sorry but the poster of Eddie has come down he is now after all a 'has been'. Even the Desperate Housewives are beating him! lol

Lucy Lion (Lucy Lion), Wednesday, 26 October 2005 08:40 (twenty years ago)

Finally, we agree on something. Yes, REB, the whole country has gone Sheedy crazy, you can't even buy a hot-water systenm without seeing his image plasterd all over it. Evey time I turn on the tel, there he is. It's a Sheed-a-thon and I'm in heaven. God bless Australia.

chrisso (chrisso), Wednesday, 26 October 2005 10:45 (twenty years ago)

It's a shame he left his run six months too late to be the new Pope, but a Nobel Peace Prize is surely not out of the question....

Fred Nerk (Fred Nerk), Wednesday, 26 October 2005 11:25 (twenty years ago)

Maybe he could be recruited by Beasley and do the Drover's Dog in a couple of years time.

He would really liven up the Chamber with a "throat cut" finger gesture towards Costello at Question Time.

Westener (Westener), Wednesday, 26 October 2005 11:33 (twenty years ago)

He would really liven up the Chamber with a "throat cut" finger gesture towards Costello at Question Time.

He'd only do that if Costello had one of those ugly Eagle jumpers on. Fai dinkum it looks as if someone has vomited down the front of their old jumper and someone has said 'Lets make that our new jumper!'.

The only throats that will be cut will be Worsfold's after he balls' it up again next year.

Let's hear it again Johnny: 'There is nothing wrong with our forward-line'. I'll send you the DVD of the post Grand Final press conference if you like Westy. Funny stuff.

I don't know about that Fred didn't John Paul II take over from JP1 who only lasted a matter of days .. or was that months .. anyway it wasn't long!

Even desperate housewives are beating him? He wishes?

We agree on plenty of things Susso, such as the Eagles are crap. :)

And that's the reason why the successes are even more sweet.

"Go Johnny, go. Johnny B Goode"

And that's the reason why the successes are even more sweet.

You must have a long memory.

Successes, I've had a few, but then again too few to mention. Sing it with me........

chrisso (chrisso), Friday, 28 October 2005 00:32 (twenty years ago)

Perhaps, chrisso, with the Bombers displaying their current(and, probably, future) form, you should be looking enviously at the cornucopia of riches that the "interstaters" have and sing :-

"Standing on the outside looking in....lala la"

Westener (Westener), Friday, 28 October 2005 02:19 (twenty years ago)

Excuse me? Envious? 2 final wins in 11 years. Envious? Um, nope.

To carry the Chisel theme:

'You got nothing I want, you got nothing I need!'

chrisso (chrisso), Friday, 28 October 2005 03:13 (twenty years ago)

After Chris Johnsons head hunting antics on Friday night, the bloke shouldn't be allowed on a paddock anywhere for a good 6 months...

Bennö (Bennö), Monday, 31 October 2005 00:17 (twenty years ago)

What can you expect when the bloke has been coached by a thug for 5 years. Brisbane Lions = snipers.

chrisso (chrisso), Monday, 31 October 2005 02:41 (twenty years ago)

Brad Scott embarrassed Australia two years ago with a cheap shot as wee. Perhaps Lions players should stick to harrassing tourists on planes when Australia plays next time.

chrisso (chrisso), Monday, 31 October 2005 02:43 (twenty years ago)

Chrisso, Sheedy has only coached him for this International Series not 5 years ! lol
