Hawthorn. Carlton have no players.
Western Bulldogs. Geelong have no players.
Lions. Double travel for Richmond.
Freo. Double travel for Adelaide.
West Coast. Kangas are hella carp.
Melbourne. Swannies nowhere near it and Melbourne showed signs.
Port. St Kilda are the Powers' bitches.

CARL (11) - if young Santana's Helper or whatever he is called really is going to be the next Tadgh Kennelly, tonight would be a pretty handy time to start

GEELONG - WB's turn to cop the one-loss-in-a-row-they've-had-it treatment next week

LIONS - nowhere near where they were but unfortunately the same cannot be said for the PFJ

CROWS - their plodding persistence might not be great to watch but it's exactly what brings the Flash Freo's of this world undone. The Vulgar Boatmen due to find another iceberg

EAGLES - Roos these days barely kangaroo tail soup. And frighteningly, April is traditionally their best month

SWANS - they were good enough to beat Carlton. The other crowd weren't

ST KILDA - unless you count our Invisible Man Jase, the PAP have run out of bitches

COLLINGWOOD - batten down folks, the barbarians are pounding at the gate again

COLLINGWOOD - batten down folks, the barbarians are pounding at the gate again

Is this a little like ...the Peasants are revolting"!

Lucy Lion (Lucy Lion), Friday, 21 April 2006 06:10 (twenty years ago)

HAWTHORN - No hope at all.

GEELONG - Cats are the read deal (I think). Footscray...not so much.

BRISBANE - Old versus Shite. And they're at home.

ADELAIDE - And wouldn't it be easier for the Crows to drink a Slurpee or Frozen Coke real quick?

WEST COAST - No chance for the North Melbourne Coburg Sydney Canberra Gold Coast Kangaroos.

SYDNEY - As noted above, at least they can beat Carlton.

ST KILDA - If the Bogans can't beat Freo at home, what chance have they got here?

COLLINGWOOD - Oh, who really gives a fuck about the Anzac Day match?

Esteban Butthead (ESTEBAN BUTTEZ~!!!), Friday, 21 April 2006 09:39 (twenty years ago)

West Coast. Kangas are hella carp.
Perhaps this could be their new nickname when they move to the Gold Coast? Fits in nicely with the nautical feel of the place. The Gold Coast Carps does have a certain ring to it!

chrisso (chrisso), Saturday, 22 April 2006 01:40 (twenty years ago)

I like that chrisso - the Gold Coast Carps. They could be sponsored by the nice garden fertiliser Charlie Carp, which promotes that there are too many carp choking our waterways so turn them into fertiliser for your garden.
:)

PS. Chrisso I don't like Matthew Lloyd but would not wish such a devastating injury on any player. He was playing really well and will be an incredible loss for your team. Hopefully he will repair well and quickly be back next season (except when playing Brisbane). An opportunity for Monfries to kick many goals!

He was playing really well and will be an incredible loss for your team.

Could be a positive, gives another youngster the opportunity. I've already written off this season so I'm not too despondent about it.

2 out of 6 in my tips so far. Disaster.

I don't think you will Robinson Crusoe this week Chrisso...
