great gatsby?

Anybody intersted in reading this? I looked at it at BArnes and Noble today. It's called "Gatsby's Girl" by Caroline Preston. This review, though, trashed it, but I'm curious.

i will give no attention to anyone disgracing a perfect novel such as Great Gatsby...unless its a long lost addition by Fitzgerald himself

This is the closest I could find to a thread, but I just finished Tender is the Night and god

So much of this just cuts to something and cuts deep. There are so many beautiful lines where you just stop. The bit where he just stops and says "It was so lonely being so cold-hearted with each other" absolutely destroys me.

It's one of those books where you just stop because I can't imagine reading anything again after it.

Fitzgerald is the king. I love his short stories, too--some are just magazine filler, sure, but the great ones (and there are a LOT of these) are just amazing.
