Otto Weininger's 'Sex and Character':

http://www.theabsolute.net/ottow/schareng.pdf

A strange but influential book from a troubled young man Viennese man circa 1906 or thereabouts - very much a book of its time, I think Freud read it and may have critiqued it somewhere. I think also E M Cioran had something to say about it.

An online archive for out-of-print books of poetry: http://capa.conncoll.edu/ I maintained it when I was an undergrad, and I made some great discoveries. Denise Duhamel's first two books are there, and there's some great stuff by Robert Peters, Colin Morton, and Halvard Johnson. I'm biased, of course, but I think it's quite a good site.

This is Strunk, the precursor of Strunk and White's "Elements of Style". Essential for anyone who wants to write good English.

Cozen - Here are some favorites of mine from the archive:
Denise Duhamel, "Smile"
Halvard Johnson, "Transparencies and Projections"
Robert Peters, "Haydon," "Holy Cow," "Love Poems for Robert Mitchum"
Colin Morton, "Merzbook: Kurt Schwitters Poems" (especially the poems "Anna Bloom" and "The Man Who Died")
Robert Sward, "4 Incarnations" (especially "I Have Just Bought A House," one of my all-time favorite poems)
...And probably some others I can't think of right now. But those are some of my favorites. A totally subjective list, but hopefully a good start.
