Well the thread in question was posted by my earlier account, and the OP features a pretty aggro DN that sets a bad tone for the thread in question. Is it possible to change that somehow?

Sorry, there isn't any way to do that. If it makes you feel better, I don't think it has any serious negative impact on the thread. Thread seems to be living well on it's own.
