Do you think we could add a warning to the title of the "All Style, No Substance" thread that it will/might crash your browser? Sorry I can't link to it, but for obvious reasons, I can't keep the browser open long enough to get the URL.

I'm not pissed about this or anything, but it is somewhat annoying that despite having my pictures turned off (because I'm posting from work), I can open a thread where Jon or whoever has messed with the background and it shows all the pictures in the background. It just makes it blatantly obvious that I'm not doing work. And isn't not doing work what ILX is all about?

Screw that, Dan, he keeps inserting things into our pages that not only just look horrible, they kill people's ability to run a browser altogether. He's been asked repeatedly to STOP that, and he keeps saying "aw gee, sorry" and then goes and does it again. Yeah, okay, so that thread was already fuktup, but I've been fixing that shit up in other threads too and I had just had enough when this came up.

For fuck's sake, Sean, the background on that thread was changed into a ridiculous picturefest on May 27, 2002 by Graham. How is that Jon's fault?

Has Jon been a dick on other threads? Yes. Is it right or fair to call him a dick for fucking around with a thread that has been fucked around with since the ninth post to it? No.

The problem is that he took a thread that was a wacked-out picturefest (Graham's fault, sure), and inserted a bunch of iframes that changed the thread from one that was hard to read to one that outright killed people's browsers, and that's not cool. He's been asked repeatedly to STOP, and he hasn't. Luckily, his own website (which he managed to embed completely in that thread) hasn't been killing MY browser, so I was able to administer it. Other people, when they click on threads that he's so blessed, have to restart their browser or reboot altogether. Not cool, as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah, the thread was fucked with beforehand, but it wasn't changed into something that actually messed around with the ability of people to use the board altogether until they rebooted.
