I was just going to comment that these were really good, then I realised I'd actually seen a couple at the Science Museum last year. This one definitely:

Also I'm sure there was one with penises?

If these come anywhere near me as part of an exhibit, I'm going immediately

it's fake, there are silouette projectors inside each sculpture

in the silhouette? or was it like a pile of dildos forming a shadow of lovers embracing?

real live lovers embracing, forming a shadow of a pile of dildos

I can't see the way that the light shown is creating those shadow images out of the objects as seen. Think I may just not be seeing the full picture because of the way it's photographed but in a couple of cases there it doesn't look like it should add up. So maybe would need to see this as the artist intended to really take it in fully.

But yes, looks pretty good.

Is this based on knowledge or are you just trying to bum people out? It's certainly possible, but I can't find anywhere that confirms it, and you'd think *someone* would mention it somewhere. Particularly as they're YBA-associated, so surely people would pile on with the 'fake' and 'untalented' stuff if it was true?

Think he was just joking.

Oh. Sorry. Must stop taking everything seriously. I think it's partially just because... well, how is it NOT fake? These things are impressive.

emil.y, Thursday, 5 December 2013 16:56 (ten years ago) link

its is fake tho, photoshop

lag∞n, Thursday, 5 December 2013 17:47 (ten years ago) link

they actually do live action photoshopping, rewriting the image your brain processes as you look at the sculptures

SHAUN (DJP), Thursday, 5 December 2013 17:49 (ten years ago) link

sick brain tech
