you're not middle aged, dude. that'd be more poignant if it were coming from crump or mothra or coleman.

well...i'm halfway to 73. when does middle age start?

i'm planning to buy a 'lectric guitar when i turn 40 in 2009. that'll be a pretty middle-aged thing to do.

no harleys. i prefer low-impact midlife crises. (which is why 20-year-old women will also be excluded.)

20 is old by midlife-crisis standards!

433. Coworker who talks and talks and talks and talks and talks and talks and talks and talks and talks. And you give one-word answers or just nod, and coworker talks and talks and talks and talks and talks and talks and talks some more, about stuff that isn't interesting at all. And you start feeling incredibly awkward because this is probably annoying the shit out of everyone around but you can't figure out how to escape.

433 sounds like my best friend from high school who hasn't quite realized we're not on the same page anymore and calls me and talks and talks and talks and talks relentlessly and i just throw in 'uh huh' and 'yeah' and 'you're kidding!' every once and a while and she doesn't pick up on it. it's worse cause it's not a coworker you can just write off. you have to figure out a way to gently get out of these situations.
