i can dig that don might not be everybody's cuppa. but he has seriously blown me away in the past. like, holyshit whatthefuckwuzzthat? seriously smoking good stuff. please don't lump him in with a lot of the other half-wits that pipe in on ilm and then run away like cowards. he is more than capable of backing his shit up if you call him on it. he would be happy to explain EXACTLY what he means in any of his posts. plus, he is just a helluva nice guy. i wish i knew more people like him.

i like his writing. he takes longer to parse than other writers, but he also has a better way with words than a lot of other writers (and knows a shitload more about music too), so in the end it's worth the effort. i agree that paragraph breaks would help though.

You can't get onto Nabisco for writing out those long paragraphs detailing his personal (and usually OTM) opinions on the subjects of most threads. His insight into topics such as racism, urban life, funny hats, subway cars, sidewalk life, politics, fast cars, loose women, fine wine, rock music, silly covers, a certain brand of snack foods, religion, eyewear, art galleries, half-blind ponces, airplane food, magazine inserts, caller i.d., nixon going to china, basic digital cable, station liners, storage buildings, maps of staten island, other ilxors, myspace profiles, the conspiracy to assisinate the president, telvision commercials that feature white girls breakdancing, the new oldsmobile, people movers, escalators, elevated walkways, don't walk vs flashing red pedistrian, and strawberries definitely add to the stratosphere of ILX.

That said, I'll never figure out how he can make a huge long post, such as the one above, and then immediately post a huge long post right after it. I'm sure the percentage of Nabisco posts that follow each other back-to-back numbers well into the eighties. And yet, he's able to pull it off. How does he do it? Does he type out the whole post, cut half of if off, and then paste it into a second post, quickly hitting the submit button afterwards? After all, that's what I did. I don't know if I'd put Nabisco onto any sort of Enemy List, but sometimes, the process does get in the way of the idea comprehension.
