tumblr etiquette help needed!

so yesterday this dude whose tumblr I followed a long time ago (he reciprocated), but whom I unfollowed a week later, recommended my tumblr. as a result I got like dozens of new followers, for which I'm thankful. do I need to reciprocate thanks by following this dude again? will he find out that I unfollowed him? I'm terrified of a curb your enthusiasm sitch here.

so i have a library/reading blog on tumblr. all of a sudden today i've had like six random posts so far reposted on other tumblrs, some of them months old. when i go to these other tumblrs, they seem to just be totally random things reposted from other tumblrs, but they're updating like every 10 minutes with new random crap. what's the deal?

maybe they have some kind of google ad type thing attached? tumblr hustln.

some people just like to reblog every damn thing as if the 'like' button doesn't exist
