I am still in awe that you even looked at options beyond sesame and poppyseed

adjective "noise" is a+

calstars, Thursday, 22 October 2015 16:08 (eight years ago) link

It's hard for me to decide whether bagel rockism should be considered or discarded. Either way I think chocolate chip and blueberry are the least noise flavors on this list.

I would similarly eliminate mueslix, power bagel, flax and multi-grain.

Power bagel goes well with power electronics but there is no way given the description that bozo is not most noise

xp idk dude in the framework of bagel flavors I'd say that muselix is p noise!

Ina-Garten-Da-Vida (Stevie D(eux)), Thursday, 22 October 2015 16:52 (eight years ago) link

I bought the caraway seed bagel bcz the sign on the bin said CUMIN SEED bagel and I thought "wow that is so interesting" and I took one bite and it was so bad so I made my bf eat it

Ina-Garten-Da-Vida (Stevie D(eux)), Thursday, 22 October 2015 16:53 (eight years ago) link

See now that is the most noise bagel move

I will listen to Merzbox in its entirety before I eat a fucking pickle caraway flavored bagel

Ina-Garten-Da-Vida (Stevie D(eux)), Thursday, 22 October 2015 17:05 (eight years ago) link

Sesame seed bagels are on constant rotation and so always fresh and hot, not sure if that makes it noize, tho

EDB, Thursday, 22 October 2015 17:43 (eight years ago) link

i voted pumpernickel
because it's just like plain but tonally grittier

obliquity of the ecliptic (rrrobyn), Thursday, 22 October 2015 17:58 (eight years ago) link

I hate caraway seeds, but it sounds like they're basically going for a Jewish rye-flavored bagel with that?

on entre O.K. on sort K.O. (man alive), Thursday, 22 October 2015 19:48 (eight years ago) link

I think a case can be made for Everything being the most noise, and I particularly like the use of the all dressed nomenclature.

OMG "ALL DRESSED" IS SO PRECIOUS AND CUTE!!! It's like a little boy who is ready to go to church or something!!

Ina-Garten-Da-Vida (Stevie D(eux)), Thursday, 22 October 2015 20:03 (eight years ago) link

also much more accurate bcz the everything bagel does not really have everything on it, it only has a v small number of things, like 3 or 4

Ina-Garten-Da-Vida (Stevie D(eux)), Thursday, 22 October 2015 20:03 (eight years ago) link

did you not try all-dressed potato chips, i think i urged you?

thought about sabotaging this by telling you St-Viateur makes the only noise bagels and Fairmount are for normies but I am going to go with poppyseed

μpright mammal (mh), Friday, 23 October 2015 03:02 (eight years ago) link

what is the origin of the phrase "all dressed"? I thought it was some sort of mutated yiddishism but I can't find any info.

on entre O.K. on sort K.O. (man alive), Friday, 23 October 2015 03:20 (eight years ago) link

you can get all dressed pizza too. and all dressed sandwiches.

hahahaaa

obliquity of the ecliptic (rrrobyn), Saturday, 24 October 2015 13:28 (eight years ago) link

three sesame bagels, torn and swiped in non-mayo salmon spread, eaten consecutively

"all dressed" comes from "tout garni" which just means "with everything on it" and applies to pizza, sandwiches, whatever, and is a weird flavour of Canadian Ruffle that vaguely tastes like pepperoni

tbh the only other place I've heard "dressed" (although not usually "all") is Louisiana so the french etymology sounds like it's a thing

Ina-Garten-Da-Vida (Stevie D(eux)), Sunday, 25 October 2015 17:17 (eight years ago) link

Stevie, I've seen those All Dressed chips down here in Buttcrack, you should be able to find them in Philly.
