what are the best record shops with the best bargains in the area? for psych/noise/folk/soundtracks.

dunno if i have time this trip but am back in april. does anyone know - i just don't want to waste time like i do in europe spending hours and finding oonly duff record shops (italy is the worst for that)

also SF:

Groove Merchant - specializing in rare jazz and "samplable" stuff. a little more expensive, but worth it because the stuff is rare. probably will have some cool psych shit.

Grooves - my favorite store in the city. all vinyl. listening stations. the old guy that owns it is amazing.

nah, doubt i will be hooking up with ann in la. i dunno - when i visit a place for the first time, i always find the whole tour guide thing - err ... a bit annoying and takes the fun out of things...!
