Dogfishhead is rehobeth beach, delaware's finest. I've spent more time in Rehobeth beach, delaware than I care to admit. Dogfishhead is the best thing there. The worldwide stout is like 26 percent. Excellent nightcap.

Jeff-PTTL (Jeff), Saturday, 29 January 2005 03:37 (twenty-one years ago)

im sure the stout is good...but the IPA tastes like fish heads in a dogs bath water.

im not drinking beer yet, but i have just put on some pink and brown argyle socks, ready to go out. later (soon in fact) i shall drink beer. i suspect the bar we are going to will only have crap metallicy beer, oh would that it have sierra nevada!

is argyle acceptable for the consumption of beer? (i figure its de rigeur for the more hoppy ones, but the golf rave style is often very exacting!)

charltonlido (gareth), Saturday, 29 January 2005 20:21 (twenty-one years ago)

Officers were called to SBA on Jan. 23 at 3:15 a.m. to investigate the report of an individual passing out in the kitchen with his face lying in a pool of vomit.

Officers located the individual, and although initially non-responsive, the person was able to be roused by officers, according to UR Security.

The individual, who was identified as an undergraduate, then began eating his vomit and became verbally abusive, according to Mauldin.

An ambulance was summoned, and upon realizing this, the student became irrational and combative, according to UR Security.

The student was then transported to Strong Memorial Hospital for evaluation and treatment for intoxication, according to UR Security.

tonight at the store, i saw
It's the Beer You've Been Waiting For!

A deep, bold nut brown ale beautifully balanced with rich dark malts and a complex hop character converging to reveal a simply enchanting elixir.

Malts: 2-row, Carapils, Dark Crystal/ Caramel 80L, Dark Chocolate, Victory

Hops: Warrior, Cascade, Mt. Hood

this thread has inspired me to go get a bottle of beer from the garage. i have yuengling, a variety of harpoon beers, some groundhog beer from punxatawny (sp?), and some woodchuck raspberry cider. if you were to just drink ONE beer, and savor the flavor, which would you choose? i think i will have a harpoon wheat beer, whatevsz its called.

tehresa (tehresa), Sunday, 26 March 2006 02:16 (twenty years ago)

oh tehresa i had the best hoegaarden framboise at this belgian bar in philly. i would have never ordered it on my own, but the bartender gave it to me b/c she had made it "by accident" (playing for tips?) and it was so good. totally girly but totally delicious! made with framboise syrup! so nice!

killy (baby lenin pin), Sunday, 26 March 2006 02:21 (twenty years ago)

i almost bought a cassis lambic tonight, but it was expensive (almost the cost of my entire 6 pack of "purple haze")

tehresa (tehresa), Sunday, 26 March 2006 02:30 (twenty years ago)

i like purple haze. hoppy!

gbx (skowly), Sunday, 26 March 2006 02:33 (twenty years ago)

i do think it has a very pretty color.

tehresa (tehresa), Sunday, 26 March 2006 02:34 (twenty years ago)

also i think drinking it out of a fancy german beer glass makes it more enjoyable.

tehresa (tehresa), Sunday, 26 March 2006 02:36 (twenty years ago)

yes, that is certainly true. my exboyfriend was really into matching his beer to its appropriate glassware. i don't get it, but i guess it lends a more ceremonial feel.

killy (baby lenin pin), Sunday, 26 March 2006 02:38 (twenty years ago)

oh my beer doesn't actually match this glassware, but it's still fun.

tehresa (tehresa), Sunday, 26 March 2006 02:40 (twenty years ago)

if you were to just drink ONE beer, and savor the flavor, which would you choose?

pacifico or negro modelo or dos equis (back me up here steve)

next weekend i am going to middle of nowhere mt where there is a bar that serves .25 PBRs.

OH NO

gbx (skowly), Tuesday, 30 May 2006 22:25 (twenty years ago)

!!!!!!!

electro-acoustic lycanthrope (orion), Tuesday, 30 May 2006 22:26 (twenty years ago)

as in 25 cents. not 1/4 of a PBR, cuz that'd be a total rip.

gbx (skowly), Tuesday, 30 May 2006 22:28 (twenty years ago)

right.

electro-acoustic lycanthrope (orion), Tuesday, 30 May 2006 22:29 (twenty years ago)

don't let that stop you from being amazed, tho.

gbx (skowly), Tuesday, 30 May 2006 22:30 (twenty years ago)

oh, i'm still amazed. any beer for $0.25 is a genius deal. is there like, a ten beer minimum or something?

gordon is fun but after about a year or so of really being into oskar blues I had to swotch it up because I started tasting the alcohol content.

In Glasgow we had all these Alloa beers made from honey, kelp, heather + other normal beer ingredients as necessary (I presume) & they were actually all quite good or so we thought at the time
