The DJ asked one of them (I was assuming it was Naoko/Nancy, but I don't know for sure) what music she liked and she said Richie Blackmore, Black Sabbath, Motorhead, and disco!

They played one of their new songs which was called "Rubber Band" and the lyrics went "Rubber band is powerful, powerful," etc. Was grebt.

haha this is funny; I just finished listening to that Necronimicon cd -- jon's thread made me want to listen again -- and I wuz coming back here to post on that thread about how much certain parts reminded me of vintage Deep Purple. And in particular I wuz gonna mention that the guitar player often evokes the style of RITCHIE BLACKMORE. how odd. that's gotta be Blackmore's first two mentions evah on the noize bored, within mere hours of each other...

also Tim, I wuz gonna post to your Seeds thread, but I could honestly only think of 5 songs without cheating. You should have made a POV! and I can't believe you didn't have "Up in Her Room" on yours! but I will post on it anyway so you won't get lonely.

Is it cheating to have to consult the albums? I had to look at them. Five songs didn't seem to be enough, but I didn't feel like making the distinctions to make it ten.

I think I'd take "No Escape" from your list over "Up in Her Room!"
